Professional Sports being affected

With this virus that is going around the US it is making hard for people to make money. But with the world of sports its hard for them to make money. But there was talk that they were still going to get paid even if they can’t play. It turns out that they will still be getting paid but they are getting paid less. I think that is better than not getting paid at all.

How COVID-19 is affecting professional sports teams.

All professional sports teams are being affected in a very big way because of this virus. For example, in the NBA had a few of there players tested positive for the virus. They have recovered from it now but they are talking about how we in the US need to take this more serious because it can affect people worse than what we think.

Los Angles Lakers Playoff Spot

The Los Angles Lakers have clinched their spot in the NBA playoffs. This is a important time for them because the last time they were in the playoffs was in 2012. They didn’t make it very far because in the first round of the playoffs they lost to get kicked out of the playoffs. People are thinking that this could be their year to go farther because of the roster that they have and how well they have been playing. Now all anybody can do is sit back and wait to see how they will do.

What should the NFL do for Concussions?

In the NFL people are starting to have issues with the concussions and injuries that are coming with the sport. Even in high school kids are getting hurt all the time and some schools are even not letting kids play the sport anymore. There has been talk about changing the helmets to try and prevent these injuries, but even with that it still isn’t working very well. What do you think the next step should be to try and prevent so many injuries?

Daytona 500

The 2020 Daytona 500 was very fun to watch this year. I normally don’t want races but I will try and watch this race because I know that it will always be a good one to watch. I wasn’t sure who was going to win it but I knew that it would come down to the wire. At the end of the race with only 1 lap left Ryan Newman was in a bad crash and his car ended up starting on fire. It was a very scary thing to watch because nobody was sure what his injuries were going to be. Denny Hamlin ended up winning the race and started to celebrate before even finding out if he was ok or not. I think he could have made sure that he was ok before doing what he did. But overall I do think that this was a very fun race to watch.

Where will Philip Rivers go?

For the past 16 years he has been playing for the Los Angeles Chargers. After this last season the GM of the chargers said that he will be giving him the chance to go up on the market. I think that it might be a good idea for him to try his luck somewhere else for maybe a season or 2. I do think that he still has a lot of talent he just needs a better line in front of him and a little more talent for wide receivers.

Super Bowl 54

This years super bowl I thought was a very good one to watch. It was a pretty slow moving game, but in the 4th quarter I thought that the 49ers were going to win it because they were up by 10 points with 11 minutes left to play. But Kanas City did what they always do they made a comeback that nobody thought they would do. They ended up winning the game and Patrick Mahomes was the youngest player to get NFL MVP and win a super bowl. I also think that the commercials weren’t very good thins year either. Some of them were ok but most of them were a let down again. Overall I thought this years super bowl was a very good one.

Favorite games played in gym class.

Everybody will have their own thoughts on this but when I was in middle school and high school this is what I think all most all kids enjoyed playing. Dodgeball, Kickball, Basketball, Flag Football, and when you got to swim. The reason I say this is because whenever the teacher would say that we were playing any of these games everybody would get so excited. Everybody would also always put all their effort towards the games. That’s what I think the favorite games were in gym class.

Introduce Yourself (Example Post)

This is an example post, originally published as part of Blogging University. Enroll in one of our ten programs, and start your blog right.

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.

Why do this?

  • Because it gives new readers context. What are you about? Why should they read your blog?
  • Because it will help you focus you own ideas about your blog and what you’d like to do with it.

The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.

To help you get started, here are a few questions:

  • Why are you blogging publicly, rather than keeping a personal journal?
  • What topics do you think you’ll write about?
  • Who would you love to connect with via your blog?
  • If you blog successfully throughout the next year, what would you hope to have accomplished?

You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.

Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.

When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
